What you can expect from a Calm Horizon Session
Our priority is always your safety. We have great experience of working with anxious and stressed people and we take all the time you need to feel comfortable and ready for treatment. In the first session, we provide you with as much information as you need as well as listening to what you have to say. With clarity we can agree your goal and together we develop a treatment plan, usually 3-4 sessions. The first session is usually 1 ½ hours the following sessions 1 hour.
The treatment element falls into 3 categories:
- 1. Cognitive Behavioural – What you think about your problem/symptom and how you feel about it.
- 2. Clinical Hypnotherapy – Calming your mind to calm your body. In this place we work with what you want to change to bring about an unconscious and therefore permanent change. There is more information on ‘Hypnotherapy in Practice’.
- 3. Behavioural tasks and exercises- A little bit of what’s good and challenging for you every day! From relaxation exercises to ‘thought and belief’ cards. There is work to do between sessions as well to improve your sleep, decrease your stress and anxiety.
